At 7:30pm tonight, I walked to the place below. It's in the same building as the Co-op.
I did a 45 minute Zumba session. I was the only man in the room! My pulse rate went over 100% MHR but I seem to have survived.
Before 11th December 2010 and Uh-oh! There may be trouble ahead..., if someone had suggested to me that I try Zumba, I would have told them to not be so daft. During the walk home, I phoned my ex-G/F to tell her what I'd just done, as she's very into keep-fit. My, how she laughed!
Here's a Video ad.

Nigel, you crack me up.
Good morning, Nige.
I heard of Zumba, and thought of trying it because it sounds as if it's fun, but it's at 8 pm and once a week is not a lot. Maybe I should stop making excuses.
Morning lightcan.
It is fun, so stop making excuses! You can adjust the intensity to suit your fitness. I think I probably overdid it a bit ;-D
Nige.
I think Zumba exercise dvds are available if you want to work out at home. Of course, it's not the same as a live class (socializing with other like-minded people) but it is an option. Then again, you could always invite a few folks over to Zumba with you! ;`)
Hi LynMarie.
Look what you started when you posted Sedentary Physiology at Obesity Panacea.
Now why would I want to Zumba at home when I can Zumba with a lot of women? The Dance Studio is a five to ten minute walk away, so that's even more exercise.
Just don't blame me if you injure yourself. ;~)
I'm glad you're having fun Zumba-ing with the ladies!
Injure myself? I don't know what you mean! ;-p
If I keel over with a heart attack, I'll come and haunt you.
I did say in New Beginnings that I'm going to get out and socialise more, so Zumba-ing with the ladies is a double whammy.
